of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, The Voice for
Real Estate® or in Canada, the Canadian Real Estate Association
(CREA) -- the world's largest professional association.
What is MLS?
The Multiple Listing Service® (or MLS®) system is an
information-sharing and cooperative marketing network created
by REALTORS® several decades ago to help the public buy
and sell homes. While it is computer-based today, it began as
an exchange of paper listing information and photographs.

A real estate broker is a term in Canada which describes a party
who acts as an intermediary between sellers and buyers of real
estate and attempts to find sellers who wish to sell and buyers
who wish to buy. In Canada, the relationship was originally
established by reference to the English common law of agency
with the broker having a fiduciary relationship with his clients.
