Seniors play an important role in the life of our community.
They are the caregivers and supporters of our families, volunteers
and community leaders, advisors and counselors, caretakers of
our local and family histories, and active contributors to the
life of this city. As our population ages, the City is responding
to the needs of seniors by increasing the range of housing and
long-term care options open to them as well as improving public
transportation, enhancing the selection of public health services
and recreation programs, and encouraging their participation
in civic affairs.
There are many well-seniors communities in Ottawa where facilities
are tailored to the social and physical needs of seniors, as
well as a number of care facilities ranging from light care
to long-term care.
Check the City
of Ottawa’s listings to help you find out more about
our services for seniors.
